There is a Reason for the Backpack Design
Author: BagCollectorBackpacks are popular carriers and for good reasons. They are practical for all ages. The choices are wide varying as to materials used, size, construction and price points. The basic purpose of the backpack is to help carry things in an organized manner. For this reason, construction is of utmost importance. The user also gets healthy benefits from a backpack because of its unique design.
The right construction is particularly important when it comes to kids backpacks. Compared to other bags, backpacks are better for carrying all those books and supplies that kids need to carry every day. In a properly designed backpack, weight is evenly distributed across the body, supported by the right muscles. This prevents damage to the spine. There is a reason backpacks are carried over both shoulders. They should never be worn hanging over one shoulder even if teenagers find it fashionable.
Taking a Sabbatical
Author: BagCollectorAfter working for so many years in a job that was highly stressful and challenging, I knew I had to do something otherwise my way of life will bring me to a slow and painful death. My lifestyle has brought about late night working and skipping meals, not having enough time to exercise and being too drained from work I no longer had a social life. Being in the advertising industry has its perks, and it was something I always wanted to do. But at this point in my life I had to take a step back and give myself a sabbatical. It was that, or taking a toll on my health.
So I quit my job, sat down and thought about what I wanted to do. I had a lot of time in my hands, and I figured since I always wanted to get myself on treks and do a bit of climbing, I figured that sense of adventure would be of interest since I would miss that rush I get from the work that I do. So I bought myself a sturdy backpack and a Swissgear Kanderstag backpack tent, and I mapped out all the places I wanted to go to. It has been three months since I quit, and never did I regret having to leave something I thought I would love to do for the rest of my life. I don’t know if I’m coming back to the industry. All I know is that I have a lot of other places to discover and more peaks to climb, and there’s a high chance that I wouldn’t stop enjoying myself. After all, I deserve a break.
Out in the Jungle
Author: BagCollectorIt’s a jungle out there. We all find ourselves in the complex web of city living, rushing out to get to our jobs, getting our errands done and trying to survive or be kicked out. Our busy schedules and hectic work weeks can beat the hell out of us. And before we even get to have a deep rest after a day’s work, our alarm starts buzzing and we are yet to find ourselves again commuting to work. Going through all that day after day can be tough.
For those who are always on the go and rushing to accomplish what they need, having daypacks is fairly convenient. You can easily store everything you need in this bag, go on out to work and go straight to the gym with your workout clothes right there with you. People with busy lives have to plan well and have all their gear in check when they need it. Having a daypack is your best bet for worry free packing for all your essentials.
Heavy Packs
Author: BagCollectorWhen exploring the great outdoors, you may want to have everything you need right there with you. Having the essentials is very important to make the trip enjoyable for you. Who would want to regret leaving stuff behind, when you have no one to borrow from when you’re out there without a mall to provide you with what you need. This is critical when you’re out for days and would need to bring necessities for the long haul.
Packing all the stuff you need is possible so long as you have an external frame backpack with you. These warriors when it comes to heavy loads provide you with all the support you need. No need to worry about taking everything that you need and more. Just pack away and you can be assured that you won’t have any problems as you trek later on. Those heavy essentials are not a hassle when you have this ever-dependable backpack in check.
Best of the Best
Author: BagCollectorThe internal frame backpack is the most recent innovation in backpacks, invented in 1967 by Greg Lowe, who founded Lowe Alpine and Lowepro, two companies that specialize in backpacks and other forms of carrying bags for different kinds of equipment. The Alps Mountaineering Cascade 5200 is a popular internal backpack choice in the ALPS mountaineering line. It features a large zippered pocket on each side of the pack designed to provide easy access to certain items when you’re out on the trail.
Aside from these large outside pockets, it also has lower side bottle pockets, a large front pocket, and #10 zippers on the lower door offering convenient access to equipment below the internal horizontal divider. The Cascade 5200 has the Comfort Glide Suspension System which allows you to adjust to that perfect point. It also has the SoftEdge shoulder straps for maximum comfort. The Air Mesh on the inside of the belt stretches with the foam eliminating wrinkles that rub against your body.
